Body Count (Paige Hanson #2) by S.M. Thomas.
Many thanks to @lovebooktours for a review copy. "Body Count" follows straight from the first book "The Diseased" which it's highly recommended you read first. This time the President of Earth 2 (in book 1 Earth has been decimated and the inhabitants of Earth 2 are the only survivors, that's why I mentioned you have to read book 1 first) is dying and Paige, Georgia, and Violet are tasked with finding a cure. Paige is still trying to remember, with very little success, what really happened during the accident which killed her husband. Does she really want to remember? can she survive after the secrets are revealed? S.M. Thomas has created a world in which not a lot is revealed, it feels like the descendants have been living on Earth 2 for years. As with Book 1 it ends with a "To Be Continued" cliffhanger you have to wait till the end of the year for Book 3.
S.M Thomas; or Steph as she’s more commonly known, has been writing since she could hold a pencil. Even at a very young age she had an interest in the other wordly aspect of the written word and could often be found writing about aliens, magic and everything in between. In 2018 she independently published her debut novel The Light - a dark, dystopian world in which the survivors of the human race are struggling against a foe they can’t see. In 2022 she published The Diseased - a novel that has been described as reviews as a psychological, medical high tech thriller with a dash of sci fi. It follows Dr Paige Hanson as the mystery of her missing husband begins to pull the curtain back on the society, and people, around her. For now she’s concentrating on continuing Paige Hanson’s story with Body Count and Maternal Instincts, both due out in 2023. Thanks for joining me in this madness.
